Would you buy a macbook pro or wait?

Considering getting a MBP.

I can either

-Wait to see if there is a free touch thrown in with the educational discounts
-Buy now
-Wait to see if there is a forthcoming announcement on redesign.

What's the best option?

I would say do you need the macbook pro now, or in a few months time.

If you can wait then I would at least wait till after next week, as although could cancel and reorder, is more hassle then is worth.

I would say wait till Tuesday after the WWDC and see what is announced. You are talking 4 days.

If you need to order the laptop then order it if you need it.

There's about a million of these posts floating round!!

But with WWDC around the corner - It might be prudent to hang on - its only 3 days!

Although, a sentiment that will be expressed by most folks on here is that if you keep on waiting - you'll never buy one!

I think if I was you I'd hang on in case they do release new models/ update it at WWDC - although I havent heard any rumours with any substance thus far...

But make sure you buy through the HE store... hefty discounts!

Its a self perpetuating problem!

Nothing will change.

No new platform.

If apple want to make something of a possible redesign they will do it in the fall with quad cores/new platform/ etc
