As topic. I have a few things to sell but obviously i have just started. Is it worth winning something first and THEN selling?

I will be spending a lot of time ensuring the advert is very clearly, correct spelling and grammar but apart from that i know it rests in the hands of those interested.

Low value items with pictures of actual item and a human description - yes i would.

Higher value items with a catalog pic and copy/pasted description - no way.

Doesn't bother me one bit - I always either pay via paypal in which case I'm totally covered if something goes wrong, or I pick up and pay cash in which case I can check that the product is as described before going ahead.

Personally I'd buy a few low value items and get a little bit of feedback if I were you. 3 feedback with 100% looks a hell of a lot better than a new user.

Just be honest list all problems, scratches or faults if any, low value items to start with
If you list anything collection only, make sure you take cash only (well known paypal scam with collections)
Change all your buyer requirments to meet your needs, ie buyer feedback, credit card on file, change your international postage options, and only post to the confirmend paypal address

just a heads up dont pay for extra photos use html links to photos on say imageshack as its free for as many as you can be bothered to put up
