i am now selling my fiat 126p , -87, it has been totaly renovated...everything has been changed and repainted ....it was a old man who didnt drive the car for 9 years...due to his age... so it was garaged and now in mint condition...a real head turner...due to is original condition!!! and 36000 km on the meter!!!! respectfully,only collectors and/or other serious speculants! 45 000 czk. send me a sms if you are one of the above...

There is no real point to it but I was thinking about buying this to drive around town from time. Just for a bit of fun really.

I have just asked the seller to send me a pic.

Its only £1300, I only want to buy it for a bit of fun I have a TT and the Golf for when i need a proper car. Also I can park this on the street in front of my house without being bothered about it getting stolen. The other cars are in a underground garage which is approximately a 10 min walk from my house.

3rd party insurance will only cost £60 for the year
 
you know, i've recently been looking for a new car and i've got my heart set on a mitsubishi carisma... and the only problem i have it that it doesnt look that good, but after seing that it feel confident that nomatter what i did you a carisma... it will never be the ugliest thing on the road... not for as long as there's one of those things about.

back to topic... i dont care what price it is, or how many repairs have been done to it.. its a fiat... which stands for fix it again tomorrow, the guy probably had to spend about £2000 fixing it s it would have broken down just sitting still in a perfectly dry guarage :p

if you want something cheep and hidious that will:
A: not get stolen
B: make your friends cringe when they see it
C: is better then that
get yourself a nissan cherry, i was thinking of getting one shortly after i had my accident last year and they come in a really horable shade of metalic pale green and some come with a turbo charged engine.

£1300 is a hell of a lot for a fiat 126. I'm sure you could do much better (or worse depending on how you want to look at it) for the cash. What about a 500, or even an old mini?
 
get one, mount an engine, front wheels and steering rack in the rear of the car and then drive around backwards to the strains of the prodigy :D thats the way to roll!

£1300 :eek: . Look on ebay there's a couple of aircooled's on there at the moment, one looks to be in perfect condition.
They normally go for about £300; maybe a best tip top condition one going for £600.
Don't even think if getting a watercooled 700cc BIS as they pop headgaskets every weekend.
At least a 126P 650cc aircooled is quite tunable and much more reliable if it's not rotten. For £1300 you could get a classic fiat 500 bubble.
Still if it's tuning you are after look what my friend found his dad doing in an old magazine of him in the 70's (a 500->126P mechanically identicalish).

Slap a VW1200cc aircooled in there on massive carbs ;) .
