I wouldn't want to pay £270 for a MSI 280X when you can get them for £220, BF4 is only £25-30.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £245.99
1 x MSI Radeon R9 280X Gaming Edition OC 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £219.95
1 x Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE250BW) £137.99
1 x Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z87 Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £119.99
1 x Antec Kúhler H2O 1250 Liquid CPU Cooler £94.99
1 x Avexir Venom Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (AVD3U16000904G-2CIG) - Green Light £71.99
Total : £900.49 (includes shipping : £8.00).

Newer Kuhler design too.

GFX price is today only.

Thanks don't need PSU unless 650W can't power the above?

I'm more of a Nvidia person then radeon is personal choice, I did check on Corsair website and can mount hydro 110 which is slightly bigger then Antec 1220, is this antec better then the Corsair stuff? oh didn't realise there is 2666mhz ram? can you actually see the performance difference?

Yes I noticed the today only price after I posted. Thank you for pointing it out :)

I was hoping to hear back from the OP and find out what case etc he is using. Might be worth looking at a reference 290. The Antec coolers are compatible with the NZXT G10 GPU adapter which could be used later if he hates the reference GPU cooler.

A good 650W PSU will run the above:)

The Antec is a new design built inhouse and not based on a asetek design.

A 280X is generally faster than a GTX770 - http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1041?vs=1037

BF4 is one game that benefits from faster RAM (but the game in generally is buggy especially online) you may find that the CPU's integrated memory controller cant handle 2666MHz RAM so will have to be run at a lower speed.

You may be able to get your hands on an OC 770, which may be basically equal to the 280X if you're an Nvidia kinda guy (ehm, like me.) Which 650W PSU do you have?

the new Antec design would not fit my case on top unless I use hacksaw lol, is about the tubing, they will have to point downwards, this will be fitted to my old Corsair 500r,

anything wrong with this MSI board? or is all personal choice?

A H100/H100i fits a 500R, the Kuhler should fit inside the case and not in the roof section.

Gigabyte seem to have the best range of Z87 boards and have a UK based RMA center, the Sniper is loaded - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18558959

The MSI is good, but the G1 Sniper Z87 is absolutely brilliant for the price, also is slightly cheaper than the G45; all's well when you save money :D

My preference is almost always bang for buck fella but I do try to keep things looking tidy too.

The GB Sniper is serious value for money. GB give you a dual BIOS which is a nice safety feature and offer a 3 year UK based warranty. It offers great onboard audio and supports dual GPU configs.

What resolution is your monitor? The 270 is often overlooked, for 1080P gaming it offers very good performance for it's £150-160 price tag. Your PSU could run two of them but I wouldn't buy two at the same time maybe add a 2nd one used if I saw it cheap enough.

I change the spec slightly, I gone to smaller SSD won't need bigger then that for while, also still debating on ram and graphics card, also need another good hard drive don't need to be bigger then 1TB but can't be loud, changes made for better value for money? not sure what do you think, which nvida card would you recommend?

If you were going to nidia I would get a GTX 770 OC Edition, similar performance but with access to ShadowPlay and such.

Good basket, dont bother with the Nvidia unless your getting a 4gb version and if your wasting your money on a 4gb 770 then your better off getting a 290 etc.

Hit buy on those parts, you wont regret it.

Nice basket. With the RAM prices so close between 1600Mhz and the 2133+ Mhz kits I'd buy the faster stuff. Like THIS maybe
