Currently running 32Gb of 3200Mhz Corsair Vengange LPX RAM on the mono in my sig.

I cant get it to boot at anything over 2933Mhz.

Been considering swapping to either one of the 8 pack kits

or

Are they guaranteed to run at rated speeds? And would i see any benefit from the memory i have at prersent, obviously id be going from 32Gb to 16Gb

Also tempted by this

I think with the 2700x, the memory controller is the limiting factor so 2933 sounds about right. I heard B-Die might help but I'm not sure if it would get you over 200 Mhz extra.

With 32gb already, I would keep what you have. You won't see any tangible improvement especially at such close frequencies.

You might find 2x16gb easier to run over 4x8 but that said if you stuck in a 3700X it would probably run the stuff you already have at 3200.

I have the exact same issue with my setup. I've just bought a 3600MHz kit so I'll let you know how I get on but as above, I expect the limiting factor is the IMC of my 2700x.

Spoke to soon. Despite passing memtest i was getting the odd bsod. Only happened since swapping ram.

Had to back off to 3000Mhz to stop the bsods. Couldnt get it to work @ 3200 even with increased voltage and slacking off of the timings.

Bit dissapointed tbh but im assuming its the fault of my CPU given this is 2 sets its refused to run at 3200

Corsair have gone downhill in my book. They were like the ASUS of memory for me. I would always get an ASUS mobo and Corsair memory. These days I try and avoid both.

Sent the 8 pack ram back as i couldnt get it to run stable at rated speed.

Picked up the 32gb 3200 kit that was on offer last week and that runs perfect at 3200
