Have also posted this in optical as am trying to get a quick answer.
I have a drive, when its connected, the computer takes about 25 seconds to get past BIOS, when the drive is disconnected, BIOS takes about 2-3 seconds. I have tried different cables, and different IDE ports, as well as the Master and Cable Select setting, also without the HD incase the mobo hated two drives for some reason.
After the 25 seconds, BIOS passes and the computer seems to work as usual, however theres no way this drive should halt the machine for 25 seconds. Should I put up with it, or take it back as faulty and get a replacement?
