would you go for this interview

Get your expenses covered or at least a contribution. You are going for an interview not to sign a contract. Having been in the postion of spending a weekend away in Scotland to do my dream job and not getting the position you will soon feel silly for spending the money AND time away from your home. For the record I was going to be joining a pro covers band. I was told I had the position so i went away only to be let down without doing work when another person turned up to do the job whom they originally wanted to do it before i was approached.

Secondly, I am sure that the job sounds well and good but your job will become mundane and part of routine where you only benefit is the salary. Its certainly not worth getting excited about money wise... but no disrepect to yourself sir.

I would prefer to consider how spending time in france would affect yourself. It could possibly be the greatest lifestyle change of your life or a complete disaster, hey lets cover all bases it could be meh, whatever! :D

Good luck!

Personally I'd go for it. They don't invite you all the way to Vezilly or wherever it is unless they're proper interested and lets face it, who wouldn't want to work for Blizzard.

Look at it another way...

If they're *that* interested why don't they pay the expenses?

Well next week I am taking a job in Japan at 1/3 my current wage. Its not that big a deal. If you think it will make you happy then do it! Don't listen to those jealous of your current wage.

Money does NOT equal happiness...

The money side i have done, working due to good wage is ok, but after a few months the boredoom is a killer. Doing a job where im doing what i enjoy, with others who enjoy it too, and doing it for something i enjoy doing, games, well itseems to have a lot of pluses.

the downside is of course this pay your own interview costs, but other than that, not bad.

Will see how it goes in france as i think im going to go for it and see what happens, rahter waste £450 on a trip to france and not get it as its crap or i dont fit in rather than wonder if i would have ever got it but never went for it.

£450 is a lot of money, but for me its within range of me losing it and not worrying me too much over it.

Well, will let you know next week what happens.
