would you pay for mIRC ?

Would you or have anyone of you paid for the chat client mIRC?

It keeps bugging me to register.
sometimes you wait 10 seconds and the "continue" box appears and all is well.
but sometimes an "exit" icon is only available and it closes mirc down. this then happens another 3 times before you can proceed.

Its designed to be annoying i know lol.
in truth i've used mIRC for almost 15years so I guess i could pay and get a registration code. with a discount it would come to about £10.

I used to use mIRC for many years, but there are so many other IRC clients out there that I would never pay for it. Currently I just run irssi on my ubuntu machine and use putty to SSH in from my win7 PC, does the job nicely.

oh, I remember the days of BitchX

mIRC was horrific but not as bad as PIRC.

I use irssi if I venture into IRC these days.

Or if you're trying to do anything in Arch... or most Linux distros and don't have a clue. It's often better than starting a forum thread on something trivial, and you can have some good discussions.
