I see that the NZXT G10 Adapters are now £20 and i've got a H55 laying around unused.. would it be worth grabbing one and popping it on there?

I only have one card but the noise does bother me a little when i don't want to play with headphones on, i have adjusted the fan profile which as helped a lot but it's still there! Will it make it a bit quieter and cooler (doesn't really get that hot anyway) with a decent fan on there? I'd probably run it push pull as an exhaust on the back of the case.. unless i could route it as an intake on the front?

you have a lightning, the cooler is beast you will be downgrading (at least on vrm temps) by using an aio.

have you downloaded this which allows you to control the middle fan speed?

Do you run it at stock? If so you may be able to underclock the card. I have my lighting at -0.075v and i can't even hear it with my head in the case on auto fan.

My LE runs in the low 60s at 45% fan speed or so, it's by far the best standard cooler I've used on a gpu. I don't think the H55 would be worth it, though it may be quieter.
Also your VRMs may end up running much hotter.

I concur with Matt. If the card isn't getting that hot tweak the fan profiles further. Also look at undervolting. This did wonders when I was running a reference 290X in a 250D.

No slightly overclocked, at 1080/1350 stock volts. but it doesn't really do much so i could put it to stock and undervolt it, never done that before.

What's your fan profile? just the standard one?
I just don't like the yellow

I like it personally, but it's an acquired taste.

As i said earlier, i use auto fan. Not sure if this is louder or quieter than fogo's 45% though. I'm not overly sensitive to fan noise, so perhaps check in with him on this.

Yeah I just use auto fan too It's yet to hit 50% fan, though my room is probably cooler than most.

I have a 540 Air with Noctua 2000rpm fans now, so my gpu generally can't be heard

OMG, i downloaded that and it's made a world of difference. Usually on ED, just flying around it would noisy but now it's not!

Will have have to open that on start up? or will it always run in the background?

You can set it to run on start up using Task Scheduler in Windows.

Do you have more than one monitor? 57C is very high for idle. Mine idles at 32C.

Yeah i had ED open!

I need to buy some decent fans too, these stock ones are terrible. Going to get some more sp120's. got them for intake and they are much better. Going to take out my HDD cage too and put them into the DVD drive bay.
