Would you replace this tyre?

I noticed this on my near side front when cleaning the car yesterday.

Two spots where there's what I would describe as flaking. There isn't a bulge per day, but there's some kind of distortion as you can tell from the lines that run above and below the flaking.

Pretty much have the right tyres (will replace both fronts) in my basket on Asda Tyres, but thought I would check that I'm not replacing them pointlessly.

Thought as much! Ahh well, best part of £400 lighter but can't skimp on safety

Thibking about it, and I know it's a common thing to say but the amount of pot holes around here is insane and for some reason, they always tend to be near the curb so not surprising it's the near side front that's damaged.

Anecdotal I know but it seemed like virtually every 'tyre bulge' issues on the vRS owner groups I saw was P Zeros - they were awful for it, people that swapped to Michelin and Goodyear never seemed to have issues.

The other three tyres don't have the bulge, the two rears were replaced in 2023 (by repairer after someone crashed into me and they supposedly found damage to the tyre). The two fronts have been on since new though, but I'll keep an eye on it and check the inner walls.

If I were replacing all four I might consider a change, but only because the stiff walls of these being run flats with non-adaptive suspension and our road quality can be teeth shattering at times. Grip wise I've found the P Zeros to be great personally.

With large diameter wheels and low profile tires there’s not much in the way of tolerance for potholes or debris on the road.
