A reconditioned H60 from a popular auction site? It has slight damage to the radiator fins, don't think it would be detrimental to the function or performance.

I wouldn't trust any PC parts from there. "Reconditioned" could just mean broken.

I'd trust the thermal shut off of the chip & my own judgement to not let it cook my system if it failed.
If you were stupid & built it & gamed not stop without any testing & it failed you'd be a moron.
As I'm fairly sure you are of stable mind & body

What harm can you do installing it & monitoring temps for an hour or so why you bench the system. If it gets hot you turn the sytem off, Rocket science its not.
