Would you upgrade...

If you're even asking then question then it seems to me that you already know the answer.

A big fat YES from me.

depending on what u use, if gaming then id keep it, try and get a bigger OC.

I wouldn't just upgrade for the sake of it.
With that kinda overclock on it i would've thought your system could handle most games/programs without a problem.

Cool this is the outcome i was hoping.

It does run well playing most games on max settings!

Probably will be better value for money 6 months to a year down the line.

I bought a Samsung 1TB F3 yesterday as i want to use my F1 for backup and the faster F3 speeds for a boot drive, so that should speed things up too!

Looks fine to me, i wouldn't throw any money at it as i don't think you'll see any noticeable difference by upgrading, unless you go the whole hog.
Save it all for a new rig mid 2010 when i7's will be cheaper....or their successors will be out.

Personally i'd be happy with spec for a little while longer, i'm making do with an e6600 and a 512mb 4870 till things get a bit cheaper. Since upgrading for me will involve replacing pretty much everything and my current system handles almost everything i use it for easily i'm gonna wait until the new year at least.

Yep, I would save your money as the rig will last you a while longer.

Although, mabey a gpu increase wouldn't hurt? Ati 5850? Or mabey a 2nd 4870 as your motherboard is crossfire ready?

Yer i was thinking abother 4870 but then does this really double the performance?

Here you go bud, here is a review of 4870's in crossfire

Take into account that the test system is close to your rig, acept they have a quad core and you have a dual core but doesn't make a big difference as the dual core is good for games.

I think it's a fair upgrade. Be a better benift to you, as you game at a high rez and the upgrade will only cost your around £120.
