I am not sure what it is your trying t0 achieve here. Why get the 7900gt x 2 when for simialr amopount of money you could het the 7950? Also unless you have a whopping great widescreen and play at uber res then you are making a costly side grade.

The x1900 is fine, is it not?

if your gonna upgrade your better off getting the 7950gx2. more reliable than the 7900gt and only used 1 pci-e slot so possibility for quad sli in the future if you need it.

Firstly unless you're using a massive res, don't upgrade. If you do upgrade, as Cyber-Mav says go for the 7950.

Well I just built My Xfire rig with a conroe etc and a Dell2407 due to Windows installation dramas galore I am testing tomorrow

I also have got problems with 6400 DDR2 ram running only at 5300 for some reason which I am too tired to work out why - everything is at default but refuses to detect ram properly

I wouldnt swap if I were you X1900 is a better card than a single GT imo

X1900XT is easily better than a single 7900GT.

I wouldnt swap for the moment either, if your current card is coping.
I would at least wait untill i could get a DX10 card.
