Anyone else thing Raven should re-make SOF and make a new game? With todays amazing graphics and SOF's amazing gore, that could make for one great game lol.

Old Hat, we have similar games like Stalker and Splinter Cell. IMO we don't need any SOF games tbh.

Stalker and Splinter Cell are nothing like SoF!

SoF3, if made well, would be a simply awesome game!

There FPS, just like SOF. I have the first 2 sof games and there nothing more that no brainer shoot em ups, 10 to the dozen. Just nothing to get excited about

SOF2 was one of my all time favourite games. I would love to see a SOF3 to round it off.

SoF is nothing like Splinter cell, for a start isnt it a 3rd person shooter/stealth game? Can you blow someones lower leg off with a shotgun blast to the knee?

Sorry but personally I think you are very wrong.

Just because a game involves shooting someone does not mean it is remotely similar to another game! Stalker couldn't be more different to the SoF series if it tried - hell its half RPG! And to compare it to Splinter Cell is just pain stupid.

The SoF series allows the player to get thick into the action, watching blood and guts fly about like they should do! It's something not done very often these days and combined with a half decent story line, good AI and well designed levels it makes for a different and interesting, if slightly sick, game! Fun! It also makes for great online play!

There were rumblings of a SoF3 in development using the Doom 3 engine, just before that game itself got released. Never heard from those mills ever again though. (in fact, that very game mentioned probably turned out to be Quake 4)

Yes but our opinions actually stand on reality, where as you decide to compare two games which are competently and totally different and somehow come out with the conclusion that SoF is crap!

In which point did I say that sof was crap???

I said it was nothing to get excited about. and didn't float my boat. I didn't know that cause my opnion doesn't agree with ppl. I'd get flamed for it :rolleyes:

SOF other than being an FPS is nothing like Stalker, and definately not like Splinter cell. Both of those too are good, but don't bring what SOF brings to the table.

Was definately one of my most favourite games of all time, and the 2nd was even better. Id love to see a SOF3 with the Doom 3 engine, or source engine something like that.

Nothing like shooting someone in the guts witha shotgun and seeing them hanging out.

Splinter Cell isn't a FPS.

But personally I don't see any great need for a new SOF game either, the damage model may have been relatively innovative at the time but I can't really see what it would bring to the table these days.

SoF2 is possibly the greatest game I have ever played, second to SWG, I still play SoF2 to this day and since being hooked on this legend of a game I have never been able to find anything like it, same goes for SWG but lol at that.
