Hi

Ive just installed a Dell u2410 monitor tonight, the Nvdia control panel is showing 60hz but Wow in the video settings menu is showing 59hz?

Ive tried RE5 and that is showing 60hz so im not sure why Wow is showing 59hz?

Ive change drivers and still have this, not sure why wow is reporting 59hz.

The game appears to run ok without any stutter but im wondering why its reporting 59hz.

its not until i drop the video settings down to 1600 by 900 that 60hz is available to select, any idea guys why this is happening.

im 90% sure this is normal :( Im sure some one else will confirm but my wow shows up at 59Hz as well :( I think its just a hi rez problem

I also get this on some games, lcd is a 24" Benq fp241w, nv control panel shows 60Hz, while MOH settings menu shows 59Hz, BFBC2 in documents/settings shows 59.90005Hz, cod blops though has 60Hz in the settings in game.

Ive sorted it now,i made a custom res and set it at 60.01 and wow is not showing 60hz :),very strange

Good to hear that you got it sorted.:) Strangely this monitor of mine wont support certain resolutions, 1024x768 being one i can remember off the top of my head.

Thanks, the colours and clarity of this screen are unreal, wow looks like a new game i cant wait to try other games this week:)

It's because Windows 7 sees most monitors at 59.4hz so rounds it off to the nearest value thus some games displaying it as that when infact it runs 60hz and should be no stutter at all.

I used to have it in MW2 and WoW aswell but it's because of the above.

Nothing to worry about.:)

I actually considered one of the dell u2410's a while back myself, fancy going dual monitor but benq fp241w's are as rare as hens teeth theese days, still a very good screen though, paid £430.00 for it over 4 years ago.
