Got my account back, whacked on my own authenticator right sharpish, just going about changing all the info, password reminders etc.Weird thing - had a quick look at my toons and nothing seems to be missing! Ive even still got a couple of blues still sitting in various banks. I would have thought this was all some weird authenticator accident except for the fact I now have two new level 1 characters on two servers, one names properly (avaron or something) and the other a typical mule (RHDDNHFS). It seems neither of them got out of the training grounds though! Gold is all there as are items and my bank character still has 430g cash and about 100g worth of greens on him and a couple of blues that would have gone for about 300-400g. Its bizarre, considering that it was chat abuse that got them kicked out of my account. Perhaps it was either kids without a clue or some farmer is being beaten severely (well not too severely, only about a grand or so gold in total and some low level chars) as I type.
Thanks to you for helping me sort this out, just got to reload up to wotlk on my clean lappie and were off again!

Cheers, it’s all a relief. I am quite confused about why nothing was nicked and two new characters created who, by a quick look, never left the training grounds. Why bother getting into an account and not nicking the gold and items in it?
One mildly humorous but highly unlikely possibility presents itself – a couple of days ago I was doing some PvP at WSG and my team mates were being idiots. To my shame as an adult I called them a bunch of ******* ********* and rage quit after they let the third flag carrier through whilst they were gang banging some level 10. Now if someone reported me for that (rightly so) and that suspension and automatic password reset only kicked in moments after the hijackers were taking over my account… now that would be funny.
However, far more likely was that the account was used to advertise gold first rather than looting it OR the items and gold in my account were so sad they didn’t bother – 2 or 3 blues not yet soulbound, about 20 greens with my traders and some gold. Got lucky I guess, noob hijackers that got kicked out before they had the chance to do any serious damage? Strange but im relieved, cheers to colinuk for the speedy assistance

Best thing to do if anyone else is hacked, either get a mate to send a ticket in with character name and realm, and we will help, or even make a new account, level 1, and make same ticket.
Please though, give us a character name and realm, or its hard for us to help. Tickets like, my other account is hacked, really dont help us to help you.
NO passwords or any other details needed in the ticket.
Ring the accounts team too, if its hacked they can suspend it until its checked, least you dont lose anything with luck.
Anything missing, should be replaced in a few days, but being humans, we sometimes miss things. Just let us know again.
