Anyone here sold theirs?

Mines been innactive since TF2 came out and I figured I should do something with mine :/

Anyone sold theirs? Where did you sell it?:P Ebay or one of those trade sites?



Got a 70 Feral Druid in half decent epics and a 67 or 68 rogue or something! Would be a shame to have it sat there doing nothing :/
 
Ebay has banned selling WoW accounts. There are other places you can sell your account but I don't know where. I am in the same boat as you, recently quit WoW and have a 70 Warrior epic'd out and a 70 Druid in blues.

As for Ebay, you sure theyve banned the sale of accounts? I can see a few on there at the moment.
 
If you try to auction it via ebay they'll remove it within a few hours, you might get a prospective buyer contacting you about it within that time though.
 
Watch out for Ebur. It's not as safe as it looks.

Ebay have indeed banned it, and nowehere else is really very safe.

Try paliming it off to someone in your guild or similar.
 
Oh and the trade sites will offer you a fraction of what its worth. They do not take into account any materials in your bank like nethers or spare gear. I was looking to palm off my 70 warrior, epic Fury, also had a bunch of epic tanking gear. Offered me hardly anything.

Tried to sign up to the wowtrades webby but theyre either very slow at sending out the confirmation emails or it didnt like my address :(
 
I have a fair bit of experience selling WoW accounts as I have sold several. There are only two merchants out there that I trust.

1) www.accountdealers.net - Ignore the crap looking site, the owner is a great guy and gets payment out to you very quick. Generally offers a higher amount than others.

2) www.accounts.net - Using instant payment bids with them is fine, however I strongly advise against using the consigment item (You give them your char for 3 months, if it sells you get more than you would instantly; if not you get it back). An account I had was used for heavy farming, botting, distrubuting gold and spamming the trade channels for a month. After 1 month, they email me saying they cant login to the account. They have changed all the details to some other random address and lost the login. It's only after phoning Blizzard and persuading them I had a Keylogger, that I got the account back, including all my original gear and 5,000g extra gold from the stupid farmers, which made my account sell for more :D

It's hard to say how much an account is worth.

The trouble you have is that there's a world of difference between how much you want for your account, and how much someone is willing to pay. When i was thinking about selling my warrior, i'd had it since beta, i'd regeared his epics in every dungeon (mc, then BWL, then AQ, then Kara and SSC) and i didn't want to let it go for any less than about £400. Else why bother?

Trouble is, there are 5 or 6 hundred other warriors with the same gear, that didn't take much work at all! They created an account about 5 months ago, levelled, joined a guild and got loot from SSC with no real work at all. They go for about £150.

I was emotionally attached to mine, so i wanted far too much for it.

Honestly, it's so rare for someone to sell an account and actually make good money. It's either blind luck, or someone else's stupidity.

Tried to get a price check on the MM here for the game with account and the thread was just deleted, no reason given or email to say why it was deleted. I did read the rules but maybe I missed no characters for sale? I know steam accounts are banned so who knows :confused:
