WoW-any good?

Oooh, very tough question to ask. Is it good? It's one of those questions you can't simply answer yes or no to.

ps. yes

why dont you try a free 10 day trial,
ive been playing wow for last 2 months, now im lvl 64 hunter and still loving the game,

so try and see for yourself,
sometimes it takes time to actually understand the game and enjoy it, wow is not the hard one but if you never played mmorpg before it might be a bit hard to get used to how it works,

Its hardly button bashing, like someone has suggested why dont you try the free trial, rather than dismiss it based on something you loosely picked up on a 4 reply thread?

is world of warcraft good? I have heard conflicting opinions on the matter

8 millions subscribers, still in the top 10 best selling games after 3 years on the market....... No, it's crap

Ahh the age old debate, im not good with computer specs though so I cant awnser that question, but yes in most respects its a good game.

Yes it is a good game, Ive been playing it on and off for over 2 years. But now theres a new, much better game: Lord of the Rings Online :D

I've been playing it since the beta. It is a very good game.

I was using an AThlon XP2500, 512mb Kingmax Ram and an MX440 for the first 2 years, then upgraded to E6300, 2gb Ballistix Ram and a 7900GS. Whilst the gameplay remains the same, it does look much nicer. Spec wont affect it much.

Its probably a good game from what I hear, although having seen what it done to a friend of mine.. I tend to carry a cross everytime I go near it, it sucks the very life outa some people. :p

What does the actual gameplay in WoW consist of, like how do you level up, get money, etc. I'm interested in getting it, I like addictive games. :)

Fixxored. :D

Hey, playing a rogue poorly by buttonmashing is easy. Playing it well honestly does require as much concentration as any other class! Especially if you want to come anywhere near close to warlock dps in karazhan ;(

You talk to NPC, read his quest, find on your map general area you need to go, you can be asked to do any of the following: kill X number of mobs, collect X number of dropped items from killing mobs, deliver items to other NPCs, collect items from random locations in the world etc. etc.

The quests are quite often interesting and engaging if you bother to read them, they all follow a specific storyline that can drag you in and make you feel like a part of the world and performing a certain role in that world.

There's enough different starting zones that you can do so you won't be bored if you try a few different races/classes first off, but you might get bored if you do the same area 3 times+.

Lack of pvp makes me weep. Bring on WAR.

Gonna have to wait about a year then =/ But tbh I'd almost rather have no pvp than wow's...

Am hoping (probably in vain) that our guild will get into WAR beta, so hopefully sooner than that, you never know! Anyway, I kinda like WoW pvp, its just the reward system that blows.
