Had to get my Conroe mobo replaced so atm im running on my old AMD system. OcUK have shipped the mobo out today and its coming tomorrow, so to cut a long story short i have to format again ^^.

I have all my WoW patches backed up but is there anyway to backup the actually folder to save time? I have all the disks but its annoying process re-installing it.

Thanks in advance!

I have 6 or 7 patches in the root of my WoW folder. Im pretty sure you can tuck them away safe and install them later.

if you copy and paste the WoW folder in programmes it will run fine :)

so burn them on a disc or something then copy them on2 your pc after the reformat :)

Yep, install normally. Then instead of patching, just copy the patched files over.

The far quickest way to reinstall wow patch it and BC is to simply copy the wow folder (maybe zip it up) burn it to dvd and then extract it back to program files folder and then run repair.exe to fix any problems.

This method i've found cuts the reinstall time significantly

Ideally you should have a C: drive of approx 20Gb for just Windows and install all other software on a D: drive for instance.

This will save this bother when you need to format. Since my initial install of WoW back when it was released I have never had to reinstall it or run the repair util on it

well if you have time you can download the full 3gig wow file, then the full TBC patch.. And just intsall those. wowwiki has a nice patch list.
