WoW - Battleground \ honour points

How exactly do battleground honor points work? Is it those medals you pick up? How do you trade them in for weapons and things? Does world PvP get you honor, how do you get the medals?
 
You get medals by completing rounds in the corresponding battlegrounds. 1 for losing, 3 for winning.

You get honour per kill (both battlegrounds and world pvp) and bonus honour for winning battlegrounds.

You can spend your honour at vendors dotted about in certain place (ask ingame or thottbot, can't remember now). Some items require a certain amount of honour, medals or both.

Note: You can't change Medals in to honour or vice versa.

So, world PVP is more or less useless for gaining honour, go hit the battlegrounds :cool:

I wish! the missus is clearly bunking off work today, and for some reason has really got into the battlegrounds
 
How are battlegrounds for low level characters these days? i remember i quit just before then were introduced and they said anyone could join in, now i'm back playing and wouldn't mind giving it another go.
 
You're only pitched against people your own level.

It works in brackets

10-19
20-29
30-39

etc.

So the best time to pvp is when your lvl x9 :p

They're goal based i.e. capture a flag or keep bases to score points up to a certain goal. They're quite fun, I imagine they're a right hoot with mates as well though (all mine are in lower brackets/quit).
 
I'm having loads of fun in Warsong Gulch on my level 19 rogue at the moment. He has the ful Defias set as well, so although he doesn't have the best possible gear he looks awesome.

What level do you need to play Arathi Basin?
