WoW - best way to level up?

If you want to speed up levelling have a look for the addon - quest helper, curse.com should have it. It'll take your active quests and plot the quickest route between them and totally eliminates time spent trying to find objectives.
I used it briefly when i was a couple of levels off 80 and it made levelling so easy it almost felt like cheating.
 
Get the following addons :

Questhelper
Lightheaded

Start in one area, grab all quests you can and follow questhelper...simples :D

Ive just dinged my 3rd 80 in a little over 6 days play time, but that was with the 10% xp artifact shoulders :)

Just noticed your other thread as well, if you want to level fast, dont get any professions until you hit 80 :p
 
Refer A Friend scheme because you get triple XP.

However if you're on your own, or just started Rested XP (can take 10 days to fully build up) gets you 200% on monster kills.

Although I tried Questhelper, I prefer Carbonite - which is similar. Can spoil the game in that it points on areas where to kill or find things, and point you where to go next. But if levelling at speed it's very useful.

Oh and solo quests, avoid grouping up with other players. Again not absolutely in spirit of the game, but if you must do it the fastest route.

try to gather all the quests from one area and do them in one outting/ ocassional instance + related quest = profit... also, try to go to instances when you have rested exp...

and obviously, gear (from the instance) will also help as you won't die as much/kill the mob easier...
 
Refer a friend 1-60, Zygor guide addon 60-80.

I recently rerolled Alliance to join a guild with some friends (leveled another DK) from 55-80 in about 6 days I think it was.

That said I did play a lot and did nothing but level, I slacked a bit but was pleased with how long it took me to get 80. :p

Zygors guide is great, especially if you have leveled up multiple characters over the year it helps make the rather painful experience of leveling fly by! (although I did quite enjoy leveling again)

Ive just leveled my paly 1-80 in 6 days ,7 hours, 31 minutes and 42 seconds, and i could probably have knocked 4/5 hours off that messing around with stuff and playin gingame peggle through flights :D lol
 
Honestly my favorite way is to find an area you like and follow the plot lines there. Involve yourself in the storylines and leave the grinding til you hit lvl 80.
 
refer a friend, or using these guides, these guides are unbelievably easy to use, totally free, they skip all the pointless quests, its a guide that gets you to 80 as quick as possible, i used it when i leveled my pally, so so easy, the only bad thing is you have to keep switching back and too to the guide to keep reading, if you havnt got another screen or a laptop you can have it on, or you can be sad and print out about 30 pages.

thats the bad thing about quest helper, you could run around for ages, or travel across the whole map for jack**** xp, thats what the guide does, takes everything in perfect order, so you dont miss a decent quest, misses out the bad ones, and allso wont make you trvael long distances for nothing, its a guide that does everything in perfect order, which is why its a powerlevel guide, i mean its good to have quest helper aswell as the guide, as that would be even quicker, but dont pick up every single quest, waste of time, how many times do you level and say to yourself "i did all that for crap xp"
