Im thinking of buying the wow strategy book and the atlas book is it really useful and a good read that would help me in my questing.

Both are quite usefull but all the info is also available on various website like www.thottbot.com and www.wowwiki.com

Depends if you like to have the book handy instead of alt-tabbing all the time.

if i could only have one book which one is best for the quest and locations on where to exactly go.

Save yourself £15 on an outdated book and use Thott or Allakhazam. WoW is constantly being updated - that book was proably written for version 1.00

Just alt-tab out, look up the quest, and off you go.

The atlas is very handy, the strategy guide is useless after a hour, read it at a competitors store.

Got the atlas, great for when your new to an area and do not have three hours to run about it finding NPCs. The sites are handy, buy you can not beat it always being infront of you.

I read through the strategy guide before I got the game, and while I was still low level, and found some great information. Once I knew what I was doing and what class I wanted to be though, I just used thottbot for problematic quests.
