Hi,

We've been having a few internet issues recently, so I want to cancel the recurring payment and just manually pay every month. That way if the internet gives up then I don't waste money.

When I go to "Change Subscription" and then "Cancel recurring subscription plan" it goes on to say "are you sure you want to cancel your WoW account", and "why are you quitting WoW".

What's that all about? If I go through with it will it just cancel the recurring payment and keep my account active (as long as it's paid for of course)?

All I want to do is pay manually!

Thanks,
Craig.

Erm, if your going to pay manually monthly your making a recurring payment. With WoW you can't pay for a month only, you can do it by paying...cancelling, then paying again. But no plan is setup where you can just pay for one month and then stop (unless you manually cancel).

The only non-recurring payment you can technically get is a time-card which is for 2-months. Its non-refundable and does not recur. With a debit/credit card you have to pay monthly or with other plans 3-month payment or 6-month payment.

When you cancelling you payment it will go to 'cancelled' which is saying you cancelled the payment but time is still left on the account. It will turn to 'frozen' when the time is up and the in-game portion of your account will be inaccessible.

So when I cancel the recurring payment it'll just carry on my account until my paid time runs out & then freeze the account until I pay again?

thats exactly what will happen, but as soon as you pay with a card again it will set up a monthly subscription automatically.

You thought about buying the game cards you can get?

Like the others have said, you won't loose your account when cancelling the payment that new set of questions were added a couple of months ago.

The game cards may be a good idea however they are 60 days not monthly so guess that's not what he wants..

The message sounds dramatic but your account will stay open and active until the end of the month. You can use a credit card as a non recurring method by adding it then immediately cancelling.

Yea, I've looked at those cards, but they give 2 months :(

Perfect :)

Thanks for the help everyone.

I don't belive you can immediately cancel as it takes 2-3days for payment to go though. They you can cancel

You can always take a phone number down and keep it safe and ring CS to cancel if worse comes to worse
