wow cd code question

i've got wow installed on my pc but it's my sons account which i play on when he is not on, if i buy a copy of the game is there a way that i can use the new cd code so that i don't have to reinstall all the game

All you need the code for is the account creation. So make your new account with the new code and login as that - no need to reinstall. Of course this means you would have two accounts and two subscription costs.
