Trying to reinstall WOW on my vista 64 bit machne and it keeps corrupting itself for no reason right at the end of the burning crusade install. Asks me to run the repair wizard which then tells me theres too much wrong with it so I have to reinstall :S

help!

I had a similar problem with my wow....would randomly crash at 23% or 70% or so...then had to redo installation took me like 50 reinstalls i am not kidding lol.

Though i doubt you'll be as crazy as that haha anyway tried copying the files(i.e making a folder called wowcds or something) to hardrive then running the installation from there?

Try with Firewall/Anti-Virus off. Do a offline installation. Then go online for patches/updates.

Could be that.

Tried different disks for both WOW and TBC and still the same. Used the vista test on my RAM with some other benchies and it seems fine as ive recieved no errors. Tried offline and online installations and its still the same.

I can install both games fine, when I go to play once they are both on patched or without the 2.3 patch it crashes instantly saying the install is bad. Used the wow repair thing on it numerous times where each time it will download 10~40mb of new files and it still doesnt work -.-

I think it might be an issue with my hard disks as thats the only other thing it possibly could be. I have had it working and leveled a priest to lv 10 earlier today when it crashed in the barrens and gave me an error message saying the barrens map had become corrupted, since then I cant get back onto it :(

An error was detected while verifying the contents of the file "C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\Data\common.MPQ". There may be a problem with your system, or with the drive at C:\. You can attempt to install again. If this problem persists, please contact Blizzard Technical Support.

-.-

It started playing up with steam games then oblivion which are the only other apps I had installed on the raptor so ive taken it out and stuck in a brand new WD250gb SATA hdd. Installing drivers onto a fresh vista 64 now :)

Pray its better! lol

ps side note, its stupidly quiet compared to my raptor oO

Bad memory?

I read a while back about people having similar issues and it was related to ram,
one guy said he updated his bios and it sorted it. Maybe you could do a prime torture test for a while to make sure your system is stable.
