So where do you think they are going with this?

I can imagine a more sort of dark paladin with less healing capabilities. I haven't read much into it so forgive me if there's already a solid description of what the class will be like

They are basically a caster kill, anti druid and there anti class is meant to be priest.

There meant to be the best tanks for casters in pve.

Due to the nature of having no shield use I'm guessing caster tanking only otherwise they will get steamrolled against trash/bosses, I'm rolling either a Frost/Unholy Deathknight when they come out I think, but I'm gonna actually stick with it, many people will make them and quit, at first you will have loads of them though which is probably why Blizzard made the starting area 'sort of' instanced. (good idea too)

They'll definitely be viable tanks in both normal and 5 man heroics and will have a (probably forced) niche in raiding. I'm also curious to know how they'll work against hard hitting melee, but again there WILL be a mechanism that allows them to do it. I just don't happen to know what it is :p

Yeah I haven't seen what will give them a chance against hard hitting melee, my Warrior (with 2H out) friend got aggro of a mob in Heroic SP the other day and got mullered in about 5 seconds. :D

Their frost presence increases their armor by 40%. That's equivelant to wearing a shield. Death Knights are expected to be able to tank anything a warrior, paladin and druid can, albeit with particular adeptness against casters.

They have no actual castable healing spells, just a few particular abilities that need a certain event to happen, such as bloodworms having a chance to erupt from a mob you've killed, or a marked target attacking you which will also heal some of the damage back.
