WoW - Do i need to buy a flying mount as a Druid?

Hi guys. I have seen the latest patch and epic flight form for Druid will be learnable from the trainer, but you need riding skill of 300....Now, do i need to buy a normal flying mount to get my skill up or not? I just learned the Flight form from my trainer you see.

Why would you need ride 300? i know its a game, but the spell changes you into a bird, not a mount...

doesnt make sense that bit, but hey, cant go around giving free mounts to people can they...

How can humanoids named "mage's" produce a ball of fire from there hands and fire it as a projectile at thier enemies?
