I'm currently a level 55 Rogue on 1k gold, and i want an epic flyer at 80. How hard is it? I am a miner, skinner, and fisher. How much of a grind is it?

Don't buy anything from the AH whilst you're levelling up, complete all the quest achievements in Northrend and you'll easily have 5k gold. After buying skills and abilities it shouldn't take long to get the rest. Quests at 80 give you lots of gold.

Stay with your rogue, from 70-80 you should get around 2-3k gold at least from quests/vendoring stuff so even from 60-70 you should be 1k richer at least too which comes to about 4k and can do the remaining with Lich King dailies.

Once you got it, at lv80 you can make 500g a day with 25 dailies in around 90mins if you duo the icecrown dailies+argent tournament ones with a friend using a good route.

Just DO NOT buy anything from AH when lvling to 80 and i am very sure you will get epic flyer by then even.

Took me ages. and 2 days after I got it I gave up :P

I got all my money from jewelcrafting back when dragon's eyes were ridiculously expensive

I've just recently upgraded my second character to his epic flyer, with cold-weather flying, and in 6 hours of playtime (not continuous, it was throughout a weekend) I made over 1200g from doing dailies, selling old herbs, and mithril and iron on the AH. At the moment, due to JC's prospecting a lot, mithril and iron sells for a heck of a lot on the AH. Split the stacks up into singles and you can sell them off for about double what you would get if you sold a stack of 20.

WoW is stupidly easy to make money in. Just **** up the auction house. buy up everything of one item thats in high demand, relist at 2 x the price.

People are too stupid/lazy to go farm it themselves. You can make thousands very, very quickly.

just make sure ya sell everything you get, die as little as possible so u dont have to spend much on repairs and quest quest quest :) and yea don't visit the AH unless ur going to sell.... don't buy! i made that misake and now i got some shiny new stuff but even further away from my epic flyer xP DOH!!!

How hard? Not hard, just very, very tedious.

Just concentrate on levelling to 80, once you get to level 80 you get extra gold for completing quests, think I'm getting something like 12g per quest. Don't skip on the epic ground mount or the normal flying mount - these will enable you to level quicker and therefore make money quicker.

When I played (this was when the cap was 70), I did it through dailies. Very, very easy to make a few hundred gold :)

Oh, and you can also search around places you haven't been before and do any quests you may have missed while levelling. I got a lot of gold this way too.

PS: It's fast :D

You need the skill to get the next level of flying anyway, and since the reduction in cost of mount may as well buy them.

I've never ever grinded for cash in WoW so I never got an epic flyer.

I've never even paid for an epic mount - my epic mount in the original game was from being Rank 11+ in PvP, and on my other char it was from being a Paladin.

When I got mine it was before the Isle dailies so there was only Ogrila and Skettis to earn money from. I did all of them religiously for 3 months to save up enough money, but I was raiding at the time and this took up a lot of my funds.

I'm sure now you could do it + cold weather flying in a week or so if you stick to your dailies, you can also earn thousands just levelling to 80 if you don't buy gear.

I had no trouble getting my epic flyer at 77 or whatever it was, if i hadnt been levelling blacksmithing as well it would have been even easier as i made stupid amounts from mining.

About halfway down the silverpine forest map on the right side theres a walled area with three building inside, a Dalaran Spellscribe spawns in one of those buildings every seven or so hours, i left an old char in there and just logged in every now and then. If your lucky he/she will drop a black tabby which on my server were selling for roughly 700g. Got a load of those, combined with the mining income i was still able to blow loads of cash on the ah and get the epic flyer as soon as it was available.

its very easy to get the quests just throw gold at you. and just spend a few hours questing at lvl 80 and you shall have it in no time
