Anyone ever had problems with this before and found a way to resolve?

Always played WoW and most recently took a break for 3-4 months, yesterday I decided I would join back and enjoy Cata! However I have updated and installed the XXX to 4.0 patch and now when I load the 'Launcher' the status bar gets to around 5% and says 'Connection time out'.

When I load WoW directly from the WOW.exe I get errory 132 pop up..I have looked around the net and seen a few troubleshooting tips (use the repair tool, change config file, change to window mode) but nothing so far is working.

Never had problems before with WoW and not having any other problems with other games.

Errors below:

Updater Error:

Login Error: (Lets me login, then goes to the download update screen, stays on 0% then bombs out with this error).

Thanks

Well, I would assume you're getting the error 132 because you're not running the correct version of the game. Afterall, if the updater is saying there's an update, I doubt you'd be let into the game using an older client version.

As for the connection time out, try disabling your firewall?

My game is legit and it even let me do the main 5.39gb patch and now throws this error up..

Tried with my firewall off but still happens, I am baffled..

Error #132 has been in existance for as long as I can remember. In my opinion it's 'something' to do with your memory but that's as much as I know. I had it 2-3 years ago and at the time happened to have some replacement RAM and swopping it solved the issue - couldn't believe it and wasn't expecting it.

There used to be (haven't checked for years) a massive thread on the Blizzard forums where a blue was asking people to paste various logs of their configs etc. but I'm afraid to say in typical EU Blizzard customer support style nothing much came of it from what I remember.

Will check the router firewall when at home later, not checked that.

Thanks

Will also try the ram, I have some old stuff knocking around somewhere. Cheers

Any other recommendations are welcome! Lol

I'm sure my mate that that problem, only way we fixed it was with a fresh install of wow. (saving the updates ofcourse

I didn't mean you weren't legit, I meant that you were using an out of date version since it can't patch for whatever reason.
