Hello,
I have just deleted my wow folder off my hard disk by mistake, due to its large size it didn't go to the recycle bin but deleted completely it seems.

any chance to recover it? had lots of data in there such as scripts, addons, screenshots, all the patches and so on!

thank you

Yup, try a system restore point. If that doesn't work there are freeware programs you can try to get the data back -- google Uneraser and File Recover but there are probably others that are better. It should be possible to do so don't worry.

I am now after a system restore (That was quick). It didn't recover the folder.
Something I didn't mention is that wow was installed on a different hard drive than the one that the operating system is installed on, if that makes any difference.

Best free tool I can use to try and recover the folder? (Or even a paid one if needed).
Cheers

Whatever you do try not to create any new files between now and when you have your old ones restored. That means stopping any downloads and not creating any new documents/pictures etc. Do not copy files from one place to another.

There's a good chance that doing so will copy over the area on the disc where your WoW folder was.

I've had a lot of luck with GetBackNTFS, but as the others already said try restoring, that usually does the trick.

whats so important inside the wow folder? screenshots or configs?
