So a friend of mine said he was getting near 250fps in wow with everything turned to max with a resolution of 1920x1080, now his rig isnt that much different than mine apart from were i have 1 x overclocked GTX 570 he has 2 GTX 560 TI's in SLI and instead of 4.20GHZ he has 4.00GHZ on the CPU.
So is 250 fps possible ? i would test myself but i dont want to resub just to see if hes BS'ing :p

Yeah, with my spec (in sig) on full ultra settings I get 300+ fps outside of cities. Inside popular cities (ogrimmar especially) fps does drop to 60-75 (at worst). It's entirely possible these days to get those sort of frame rates with a decent pc.

Yup. When people aren't on the screen etc.

In an average densely populated orgrimmar near the main bank/vendors/AH a top of the line AMD processor is likely to drop to about 40-60fps, whilst anything higher than a 2500k Intel can usually manage 60-70 minimum. Wish I'd gone intel now (This is with a 5850/470 GPU).
