Hey guys, just went on wow first time today, graphics set to ultra as usual, for some reason i am getting really low fps (20-30) in a zone where i normally get 100+, any idea why this is happening, its not like my hardware has changed :(

1055t @ 3.81ghz
corsair xms3 4gb dual chan
His Radeon 6970 2gb CCC overclock max

heaven 2.1 max settings (apart from extreme tess) avg 70fps and drivers are up to date, its just wow, its all jumpy as well as fps laggy, like the frames build up then all release at once if you know what i mean

found out problem - CCC was trying to control application settings for AA level, so it was trying to do 8x aa and so was wow, so basically my card was trying to do some stupid amount of unecessary aa XD

It could be a old or fualty addon there was a patch this week so it might just be that, Try removeing all your addons from your adon folder then boot the game if your FPS gose back up to what it was before then you know its an addon, Then just add them back one at a time t'ill your fps tanks again to find out which one it is.

It could allso be an unstable overclock and your CPU throttling itself, Or your GPU is getting stuck in it's idle clock speed.

If you have any programs that can monitor your CPU and GPU clocks while your gameing try runnign thoese in the background just to check.

Allso you if you arent allrdy you could try running the game in DX11 mode just go to your launcher and then properties and where it says target change the comand line to.

"C:\World of Warcraft\Launcher.exe" -d3d11

For thoese with a DX10 card you can try adding -d3d10

Dosent make much differance to your fps but the game will run smoother, there is allso a comand you can add to your WTF Config folder but that one has a habbit of randomly deleting itself.

Nevermind just noticed youe found out what was cuaseing it :D
