WoW GFX query.

just wondering something as i ponder which gfx card to buy next, when im playing wow (all settings up high) i often get the problem with mobs or interactable objects not loading in.
i odnt mean in dalaran or places like that, i mean just randomly in zones, i have to wait a few seconds sometimes for mobs right infront of me to spawn.

is this to do with the cards memory? or my processor? or ram?

4gig ddr2 dominator ram
4850 512mb gfx

well your rig is better than mine:
pentium 4 3.2
Ati X700
1gb RAM

but never had troubles with mobs not appearing in front of me, altho i am on 5mb Virgin Broadband

i think your problem lies with your internet connection?

No, it's more to do with your latency than your actual bandwidth.

45ms on average.

this is with BT, if anyone can point me in the direction of a decent ISP i'd be very very happy

I'm not sure this is entirely down to your latency - I have this issue on Epic Flyers, when you land it takes a while for the NPC or monster to appear. Blizzard have said that they made them too fast, and the game cant "keep up" with the movement rates.

might be one of your mods try disabling them all? one might be trying to update something in the background to much.

I had this problem, altho I would get it in Dalaran or any large city, and it would usually cause my Wi-Fi to disconnect.

Are you using wireless?
If so, what you need to do is goto network connections and hold ctrl and click on first your wireless connection, then your free lan port, then right click and bridge the connections.

This seemd to solve the problem for me!
