WOW Gold ? Cheapest

Stupid. If you want an item, work for it. Don't screw it up for other people by buying gold, producing more chinese farmers overpopulating areas so it makes it next to impossible for the honest players to make any gold.

Its against the EULA and Blizzard monitor things like this, and ban accounts that break this rule.

Threads like this should be deleted.

Selling gold certainly IS illegal and accounts are banned. As you cant do one without the other, that would pretty much make buying it illegal to, although I have n't read of people getting banned for buying.

NO its NOT illegal but it is against the user agreement for the game. Illegal would mean that you could be taken to court etc which obviously is not the case for buying WoW gold.

Nobody needs to buy gold. Takes all the fun out of it.

Casual gamers who can't put in all the time needed to get those levels of in game gold?

People who are rich, so spending say £50 on WoW gold means ntohing to them?

I did it because I had become bored with the game, and wanted to level my 2 alts quicker, which meant I could by the best stuff for my given level on AH.

This was well over a year ago, and I can see how it can mess up the economy by inflating the base prices for items because everyone has so much cash.

I'm just glad to be rid of the game tbh, lol

I can certainly see why some people would sooner spend £20 than spend 15hrs killing the same mobs over and over, especially if their time is precious ie. they don't sit on their computer all day every day playing WOW.

I even heard a rumour that certain gold selling sites might be set up and run by Blizzard, I mean come on the Chinese are making a living out of bots farming gold and selling it, so why can't Blizzard do the same? they wouldn't even have to use bots they would just tap a few extra digits into the database.

I work for it irl instead, which means I can only spend 3 hours a night playing WoW, instead of the like 8 hours a night that all the euro-kiddies seem to spend playing it.

Seriously, if I wanna spend £50, the cost of a night out, on 3k WoW gold then who is gonna tell me I can't? Blizzard have never banned anyone for buying gold, only selling it.

If buying gold isn't illegal, why have so many accounts been banned because of it

See FordPrefect's post. Illegal implies that something is against the law, as much as they might wish it, Blizzard's EULA is not The Law :p

ah :) ic

It can get your account banned tho which would mean you paid to get banned.

But you don't get banned for buying gold. Ok, Blizzard could ban you for it if they wanted (in fact, according to the EULA they can pretty much ban you for doing anything), but they don't. It would be easy to do as well if they had the inclination, but they don't - instead they concentrate on the farmers/sellers.

dont do it, i was completed addicted to guild wars at one point, couldnt get enough of it and ended up buying 400k of gold, then as soon as that, its justboring and not fun and i regret it so much lol.

Buying Gold is Bad! mmmkay?

Gold is easy to get in outland, the whole idea of an epic flying mount is that its epic and you have to work for it.

I don't have mine yet, I need 4600g. However I'm not in a rush for it.

I know some USA accounts have been banned for buying gold, but that was for buying stupid orders of like 15-30k+.

Never heard of any Euro accounts being banned though.

Why should buyers have such a big advantage over people who play the game normally?

Buying gold in MMO's is akin to aimbotting/wallhacking in FPS' imo. Being a skilled player in FPS' means accuracy and prediction, where as being a skilled player in MMO's means the items you have, which inturn means gold up to a point.

Also, which is worse? The people who play 6-8 hours a day to get items, or the people who work the same amount of time to spend rl money on gold and break the game rules? At least the former actually play the game the way its meant to be played.

And yes, gold buyers accounts *do* get banned, but of course not as much as gold sellers. :D
