So i quit playing Lineage 2 yesterday and decided i'd try WoW now i think there must be a bug or something with WoW cos lineage 2 is a more pc-stressful game. When i play WoW, my pc overheats (core + gfx i think) now i've searched google and there seem to be a lot of people having this trouble but yet no fixes.. so i was wondering if anyone on here had a similar problem and got a fix?

(amd x2 4400+, 2gb ram, radeon x1800xt)

thanks.

I have had this problem recently. My gpu overheats quite a bit, but no more than usual for any other game i play. After a few hours of WoW my pc crashes to the bsod, giving me an error about the nv4_disp.dll.

I've been getting crashes when alt-tabbing. It's a 134 error and mentions the AGP aperture. It seems to have appeared since the 2.1 patch - others are experiencing it on the WoW forums. Some are getting it in game and some are just getting it when alt-tabbing.

i think Warcraft is just as stressfull as lineage 2, maybe a bit more because some of the scenery is huge. it could be your resolution try lowering it.

I always get WoW crashes... either a bluescreen one or a WoW crash (error 132) Dont have a fix but it sucks :(

Quite a lot of other people have been getting not only this problem but also mobs teleporting / stair walking down and up through the floors, shaders getting mixed up and textures stretching.

Its only people with nvidia cards and especially people with 8800.

Me personally i get the stair walking mobs and shaders screwing up.

Error 132 is just a generic error message (which sucks) and can be put down to a bunch of things. If people have complained, Blizzard are usually pretty good at finding a fix and if they cant, letting you know that they are at least trying to find one. Keep an eye on the forums, and check for Error 132 and your specific error cause that is listed when the error box comes up.

I had awful crashes with WoW - endless bluescreen crashes.
I contacted tech support and they said it was almost certainly a driver issue.
They told me to update EVERYTHING, checking each time you do to see if it works.

It kept doing it, till I updatred the drivers for my network adapter. After that it was fine

I play in a window and the white flashing is still there if i move around quickly. Haven't had too many crashes lately, but i noticed that one of the boats to another major city turned from a wood stained brown to bright green

just used window mode and i havent had a crash... still overheating tho. Just set a house fan to blow into the pc and that seems to help, but still i shouldnt have to do this tbh..

I personally don't have any other problems, other than the 134 error. It seems to be a a known issue with the current WoW build (well, quite a few cases on the WoW forum).

ever since 2.1.0 iv had nothing but trouble also, never had wow crash once in 6 months but now its quite regular.

I have the UI half load and freeze the game when entering game sometimes, especially BG's.

The other issue i have is when flying, the textures in the background (hills etc) flash white and it eats up my GPU dropping the fps from a solid 60 to 25 or so, changing some of the video settings (refresh rate for example) mid flight will clear it up for a while. Although once I land or look away from the glitch it will clear up
