Hi all,

I do a lot of virtualisation (vmware etc) and need a new machine.

A quick scan through the cpu forum and it looks like there are lots of new things coming, and lots of choice in the current market place.

I need to build something in the next few weeks (inside of 2 weeks), i'll need multi core cpu than can handle 8-16gb ram.

Though I don't want to break the bank, can any help me in deciding what are the best options??

Thanks everyone
TM

he wants it for virtualisation, so yes, a lot of ram is very useful.

12gb would be enough, but for an AMD build, 12gb isn't really a common amount, so makes sense to get 16 instead

althou personally, i would go for the i7 with 12gb.
