Sitting at lights at a junction today, the car in front of me stalled it and the person was flustered and stalled it again. Dude in a merc A class thing was having none of this, blared on this horn over and over then decided to take matters into his own hands, he shot off the wrong way down the road and blew the light which had went back red in the meantime, and was promptly t-boned by a mini. I've never seen an accident up close like this and the way the vehicle just lifted off the ground was jaw dropping. From what i gather his passenger (girlfriend) may not make it, as i had to give statements and heard one tpol say to another it looks bad for her. Why can't people just be bloody patient and consider others? :(

Thats what i hate about driving, nomatter how tiny the delay theres always some ******* headbutting his horn if the car in front hasn't moved .25 of a second after the light has turned green. These are usually the same knobs you see weaving in and out of traffic only for you to meet them again at the next set of lights.

Well i guess thats what happens when you dont have the patience to wait or wait till at least the other side is clear.

Hopefully he will be prosecuted for dangerous driving...and hopefully his gf will make it through and dump his impatient arse.

Dicks like that always end up surviving and the poor passengers or the other cars occupants end up dying instead.

Hopefully she will live and you can help to jail the ****** or at least get him banned for a long time. Did the driver of the other car get injured badly?

Put people in a small metal box, and all bets are off in my opinion. I'm sometimes like it, never to the extent as described in the O/P, but mostly stuff like raging at people not knowing how to merge in turn, or sitting in outside lanes for no reason.

The other driver walked away without a scratch, cars a complete writeoff but the occupant area looked totally untouched.

a shame

driving is like most things
for every nine responsible people there is always an idiot.

its just mindblowing how people can have that kind of mentality

It's certainly not nice witnessing an accident, the one proper one I saw, head on, both cars rear ends went up in the air and one did a pirouette and spun off the road...luckily all occupants of the cars were fine, just shocked.

As has been said, it's usually the impatient idiots that get out of these things fine and their passengers or the other car's occupants that get injured badly. :(

well done for staying and giving a statement

my dad got T-Boned when somebody ran a read light, however none of the drivers behind us who all saw the green lights were interested in stopping and giving us statements. of the ones we asked they all "saw nothing"

Think the worst accident ive seen is the one from about 5 yrs ago when i went over to Canada to visit my brother, who had just recently moved back. We decided on a friday night to hit the casino at Niagara Falls...anyhow i was driving my bro's bmw 330ci and the guys we went with drove in some sort of honda...anyhow it was prettty late and i guess the road we were driving on had black ice as this was in early december...plus it was a backroad....but the guy in front of us swerved to avouid hitting some animal and ended up flipping over a few times till it ended up in a ditch on the other side of the road :/

It was like seeing it in slow mo...luckily both driver and passenger were relatively unhurt but the car was a complete and utter write off...this was in the middle of the night and on some back road and there were no houses around...no mobile phone coverage so couldnt ring the police or anyone...luckily a pickup truck happened to drive by after a few mins of waiting...i was ready with my bro to go and get some help...anyhow the pick up truck managed to get the car out of the ditch...ended up going back to the guys house where we reported it.

All i can say is that they were so damn damn lucky they wore their seatbelts that night.

That is really sad, hope she survives. I take it that's an immediate ban for the driver then?

Out of interest, where did this occur?

Worst accident I've witnessed was as a pedestrian and a drunk driver smashed into a tree. The car flew up in the air, and came back down literally bent in half. Wasn't nice witnessing a death right in front of you. :(

30mph, doubt the mini was doing that even as she would have obviously just started moving off on the lights though she was not the first car so would have built up a little speed.. The guys speed was not much if even over 30 as it was only 2 car lengths + distance to the middle of the junction before he got hit, though he did cane it hard to make it over.

Pretty scary a mini could do that much damage at such low speed! What if it had been a Range Rover doing the t-boning?? Guess without side/curtain airbags there's not a lot of protect the occupants!

A lot of idiots on the road. One of the worst I saw was (luckily no one was injured) was at a pedestrian crossing. The lights were red and there were about five cars waiting, an Astra VXR comes from behind, overtakes the five waiting cars and speeds through the red pedestrian crossing! Luckily no one was crossing.

The worst thing was the guy pulled over around 10 seconds later.
