so i got wow and im a hunter just hit level 40.

my leatherworking is maxed out at 225 where do I go to train up to 300. also I am a hunter dwarf is the dragonscale path the best one (i hear that there are different paths you can take).

this is my 1st char so im not sure what to do :p

thanks

With every stage of each profession, your previous trainer will tell you where to find the next one. Leatherwork is pretty useless to a hunter, as there's almost nothing with agility on it. I believe the only epic set that dragonscale can make is stamina and fire res.

Leatherworking is far from useless for a Hunter, especially as he progresses into BC, theres loads of hunter based mail stuff including a new rare set. Pre BC, there maybe slightly less to choose from but theres still some nice stuff to craft. Certainly isnt useless though. :p

I wouldnt bother with specialising, it's pretty pointless as the amount of effort used to craft the items is made redundant by the vastly superior drops in BC. Some nice mail bits to be crafted 60+ though.

One of our guild hunters has been turning down some impressive mail drops in favour of his own craftable rep reward items (Felscale?) not sure which specialisation he followed, but i imagine its heavy on AP / AGI which is great for hunters

u cant go higher than 225 without specialising. the Dragonscalle LW'er is if i remember is in Azshara but was around 14 months ago i leveled LW'ing and i went Elemental LW'ing.

Well there's no point in not specialising. There are new patterns for each specialisation, and you're missing out on some of the best bits your class can craft by not choosing a path.

And there's loads down the Dragonscale tree for a hunter (or at least there was pre-TBC). Never seen the Black Dragonscale Kit? It's all AP. It was also handy for fire resist.

And lets not forget the new craftable 3-piece epic set for the hunter.

Netherscale!

And also, in blue, Felstalker!

All the pre tbc stuff is outdated now as i already said. It's not worth the effort of farming dragonscales. Check the requirements for crafting the Netherscale stuff, "Requires Leatherworking (365)". None of the new stuff needs specialisation to craft so it really is pointless.
