Hey guys.

The BETA for Wow Legion launches in 25mins. I've been invited into the BETA testing, so I will be giving it a bash shortly.

Anybody else got an invite?

P.S. This has no NDA, Blizzard have confirmed you can publically discuss content, provide images, and video content for it.

Note - this thread I expect will have spoilers, so you are warned.
 
Well, I've played for a couple of hours now. As expected the BETA servers are a bit flakey, I think I have have server drop outs for my toon maybe 6 times in 2 hours.

The starting quests are a little bit "meh" and are heavy scenario based as usual. Graphically, the water/slim has been improved again.

I have a number of addons working, included a BETA version of Elv UI - so it's not all bad.
 
Looking forward to giving it a crack but did not get invited this wave. Loving the new animations for the classes.

Or rather, I was. I'm stuck with Transfer Aborted and World Server Down errors.

I did get a chance to do the starting area with other people and it was bothersome with the server being so flaky, took four attempts to get it done to the end.

Really as well, i'd limit it to something like ten people per run, my first was almost forty and it was just a complete cluster**** with no chance to see what was happening.
 
You lucky Bar Stewards :D Hope you all have fun, I've been watching Preach videos about the Alpha for the last few months so far. It seems interesting, pity the tanks are in a right state right now. Fingers crossed for fixes coming in the Beta.

Just need to get a beta key myself now, unlikely but one can hope :)

Enhancement Shaman here, alliance on PVE server 3.

Got to Aszuna to do some questing but naturally the questing areas are rammed full.
 
Honestly, I know it's a beta, but it feels like they dredged up an old Pentium 4 with dial up connection to run it on.

I expected to be beta testing the content, not beta testing the damn server hardware. I mean, it's not like Blizzard have twelve years of providing server infrastructure for their game, right?

I was slightly astonished to get a beta invite yesterday and spent most of today alternating between it and Doom 4.

Seems OK but... I dunno, it just lacks the same style and charm that mop got started with. I'm only on the first zone after finishing the DH starter area, so maybe I just choose a boring one but it's just a little meh so far.

Not liking the death of the major alliance character either. Replaced him with a social worker :(
 
Really, the phasing is absolutely ruined, it's borderline unplayable.

This is my third beta and it's never been quite this bad. :p
