Sorry if this has been posted before -or if it's a really dumb question:

Basically every so often I keep getting spammed by constant invites from people to join their group. I keep hitting decline but sometimes the only way to get around it is to accept. So then once I'm in their group I'm told to go to some website to download the latest WOW hack or whatever at which point they disband the group obviously.

Is there a way to configure WOW so no one can invite me into a group?

Thought about that but the spammers seem to be different each time & zone. Presumably it would take longer to add them to my ignore list than to just join their group and get told to go to wow-toolbox.com or whatever.

Yeah that spamming business is really annoying. Just reinstalled WoW for the first time in a few months (on EURO version for first time I might add) and within 10mins of playing I get spammed, oh joy!

But! BUT!!! there is a WoW mod that in order for someone to invite you they have to be allowed to by yourself - meaning you verify that person and from then on forth that name is added to your list of allowed ppl who can invite and such.

If there not on your list and they invite you all it will display is that you need to type x to you and you allow/decline that person

Try and find a random person who is also getting the random invites and ask them if you can join their group. That way the invites stop as u are already grouped and the only annoying thing is if the guy you are grouped with wants to chat :P

If you are guilded then ask a guildie who is doing PVP or something as being in a group isn't as important for them as it will be replaced by the raid frames.
