Are you into PvP, PvE, Roleplaying or what generally when it comes to mmo's?

I certainly prefer lotro at the minute, maybe this is just because I've got bored of WoW after playing it for so long and this is something new. If your into Lord of the Rings at all then it is certainly worth playing imho. The classes seem a little more limited that WoW but this is to fit in with the world of Lord of the Rings I guess. If your only into WoW for the PvP then lotro might not be your cup of tea, there are no PvP servers as such, but from lvl10 you can start playing a kind of PvP as monster characters, I've not tried it out yet though.

LOTRO is certainly worth a try if you've already played, and taken a break from WoW. There is a 7 day trial but you need a buddy key from someone, you could try asking in the lotro thread.

Give it a go - it's a whole lot better than I expected. Once people start getting their normal characters to level 50, I think it might rival the realm wars in dark age of camelot.

Easy tiger, not sure about that! I'll give it a try though :P

I'm not sure if my character needs to be leveled up a bit more, I'd only spent my Destiny Points on a new appearance, but it seems like players are far far more powerful than the monsters. Other night, we had like ten people attacking the only Champion or Guardian and the one Minstrel was able to keep them up quite easily. In some ways it's nice to play some PvP where it's not all about the one or two shotting.

Why don't you fire yourself up a 10-day trial of WoW and see if you like it? Then you can make an informed decision yourself. :)
