Both are pretty similar, try both free month trials and see which you like, Wow is more polished as WAR is very new. But tnh there isnt mush in the way they look and play.

Its personal opinion at the end of the day.

WAR looks promising so far, at least you won't be so far behind everyone else like in WoW.

Try WAR first as most people are still at the lower end of the game if you like it stay there. If not try WOW most people are sitting at the higher end of the game. Many of them are in closed off social groups and are only enterested in new players to keep up their raid numbers.

For me its Fps' till the 3.0 patch then i will be doing arena again as assassination to get some s3 / s4 daggers.

If you like grinding to level 70 (80 soon) then WoW is your choice, but if you enjoy a more relaxed experience then War is your best option.

I really enjoyed my time in WoW but it took over parts of my social life and made me fail a few exams so i discredit it for that, but on a differant ground its a good game, doesnt touch War though because i can play it easily and dont feel immeresed enough to get addicted and im finding it much more fun than WoW.

Age of Conan is meant to be fixed now so its worth a trial but i wouldnt buy it until the end game content is fixed.

I'd go with War, i dont really want to go back to a grindfest while i can level up with RvR in War .

I'm going to give WAR a shot if people are still positive in a couple months. As someone already mentioned, picking up WoW at this late stage could be a pain in the bum if you don't have friends already playing it. But if you were planning on the casual approach, that shouldn't matter too much.

Play WoW - WAR is terrible imho and WOW is great. Its free so try it. If you like buy it for £10 if not try WAR

I'd say go WAR first for the simple fact it's a fresh world where nothing is set in stone. With WOW you're 4 years behind, out of the very cliquey guilds, and unless you start with friends, would near enough solo to 70. Not very MMO. This isn't really WOWs fault, its just an aging game, and this is what happens after many years and expansions.
Legitimate criticisms of WAR are far between (see the other thread), most can be seen as agenda based WOW fans who must feel threatened by the game.
If you can pick WAR up for £14 like shep, play that and WOW trial, and then make your mind up.
