Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but i was not sure weather to put this in GD or this forum because its based on World Of Warcraft. Basically my GF's mum plays the game and some money that she was meant to get this weekend did not go into her account but it went in today so on saturday afternoon i payed for her WOW £8.99 month's subscription. I payed for it directly from my bank account (changed the payment details in her account so it takes the money directly from my bank account) and the money has gone out but it will take a few days for it to appear on my bank statement, the same as a lot of transactions made on cards such as ones made in shops etc.

So yesterday my GF's mum asked if i could change the card details back to her card on her WOW account because the subsciption had been payed for this month etc and so i did that. But what has made me worried now is that the WOW payment still has not appeared on my bank statement as you know because of outstanding transactions etc but on her WOW account everything says her account is fine with payments etc but i am now worried because her WOW account has her bank details back in & i payed for it on my card. When it does show up should it still go out of my account or my GF mum's bank account because i changed the bank details from mine back to hers? I don't want her being shocked to see that the payment ended coming out of her bank account! lol

Thanks - Liam

Even if it does come outta her account is 8.99 really gunna kill her ?!

Seems silly in my eyes. If your that worried ring up blizzard accounts see what they say they should be able to tell you.

You will be charged for it, the money will have gone from your available funds just not the total that is there untill tuesday atleast

I always pay mine and cancel immediately - for the simple fact they bill when the hell they like, anything up to 40 days its been for me then 20 days later at times. I've missed this and been charged by my bank.

I have noticed this a lot they do seem to charge on diff dates all the time. Then again doesnt really bother me. I like to keep my bank account with money in it.

Me too but sometimes the unexpected happens. The other advantage of doing it of course is you save yourself a few days if you don't play at the end of the subscription period.

This thread has actually reminded me - remember the old days if the servers messed up for a day or two, they would give you an extra two days subscription before charging you again?

They still do that from time to time. Check you payment log on the accounts page.

It will say something like 1 day credited.

Also dont be suprised if she doesnt get billed next cycle and has card payments suspended from her account. She will have to send all her proof of ownership off to the account support people if this happens ( can take a few weeks to sort out ).

Ive had several guild mates have their accounts suspended for nothing more than what you did, alter payment to another card and back again. The blizzard billing system seems to see it as something dodgy like account selling and just flags it up for inspection by deactivating the ability to pay by cards.

A friend of mine also had his account banned for "account trading" simply for logging into his account while visiting his dad in spain! took him almost 3 months to get them to even let him discuss why it might have flagged the system. They eventually reinstated the account, but this is the best bit... he was charged for the 3 months as he used 3 month game card.

When he challenged the ban they set his account to "investigation" and the paid for time clock started ticking again, so when he got it back he was 3 months down! they refused to reimburse him claiming "he had violated the ToS" and he was lucky to be given a second chance! cheeky buggers. He hadnt violated anything, there is no stipulation that you are not allowed to log in from other euro zone countries.

God help you if you have a naff ISP and use a proxy/tunnel service. The system sees your IP change from uk to something else and BAM... you are an account trader and banned :(

Ive been playing now for so long im paranoid about all the crud i har about blizz support. I only log onto wow from my own pc at home, use an authentictor and only use the same card to pay. I wont even log onto the forums elsewhere, the thought of having to deal with account support fills be with cold dread :p

I've chopped and changed between mine and the gf card many times with no issue, must have been lucky.

WAR has a worse payment system. 2 attempts in 1 hour you're allowed. So.... once I clicked payment method, got distracted, went back a few mins later, clicked payment method again, someone at front door. Tried again after and there we are, locked out for an hour even though I hadnt even had a chance to try a card number.
