Hey All,

Currently my sister in laws pc has some major faults which I cant seem to fix its one of those problems that could be related to any number of components, but its all so old I cant really be bothered to check where the fault lies.

So I would like to build a new machine scavenging a few pieces that I know work without any problems. I'm trying to put something together that does all the usual office duties and can play WOW on highish settings without to much slow down in frame rates. Problem is that I have a very limited budget of about £200 pounds.

I have keyboard, mouse, monitor, case, CD / DVD drive, hard drive and 7800gt graphics card.

I have found a few half decent builds that come in at about £200 but i think i keep going over board as when i build for myself i tend to have a much larger budget. So an outside perspective on good cheap components would be greatly appreciated.

So any ideas on builds?

I was actually looking to get it under £200 if possible and sorry i should have stated the PSU may need replacing but i can get another of those if needed. So it is just the barebones, just need it as cheap as possible

WoW is still based on a 2004 graphics engine, so a machine with a Geforce 6800 should pretty much run on top settings. With a game that old, all you're really getting with a GF 9800 is more frame per seconds. I have been there, done that with a 6800 and a 9800.

Your spec will only be utilised in full when Blizzard updates their graphics engine and character design to Sims 3 standard. Of course, your spec is great, so you're welcome to play games from 2009 era.
