Question guys how many World Of Warcraft Phishing emails do you receive on a daily basis , I haven't played since 2005 and get between 5-10:D is this common ??

My spam filter catches them all now, but I was getting around 3-4 a day for a while.

Haven't played WoW for 3-4 years.

I still get them on a regular basis, but they get caught as spam and straight into the junk box, don't even notice them.

Haven't played wow since the start of Burning Crusade either.

Got keylogged recently from something naughty that I downloaded.

Security Essentials and Malwarebytes missed it but Hitman Pro confirmed it was malware.

My fault for downloading ofc.

I seriously wish these Chinese blunts would get real jobs.

Yeah it was the chinese' fault you were a dumb ***. Yahoo catches 5-10 a day, read em sometimes for the hilarious spelling.

yea i get a few everyweek.... and my account just got hacked on christmas eve :( 20k gold and all my new gear gone... even took my damm bags ffs!!!!! tried logging in and it said incorrect password... tried battle net.... wrong password again, did the "my password was working til now" option and reset my passowrd... but looked in my eamil for the password reset and one had already been done 4 hours before hand..... dodgy business!!!!!

I also get a few a day.

Got a strange one the other day though.

Normally you can tell straight away that it is fake from the links in the e-mail, but in this case they looked genuine. The e-mail said someone had requested a password change and to follow the link.

So I called Blizzard support to check it out. The guy there told me that it was actually real, but for the US WOW site. He said that since I didn't have a US account to not worry about it. He told me to copy and paste the link into my browser, and sure enough the US WOW site appeared.

He told me it was nothing to worry about and that my account was fine.

That does appear to be the case, but I am still wondering how my e-mail address ended up on the US site.

I also found out that Blizzard had released the Authenticator software for my Android phone, so I got that linked to my account now. :)

Don't suppose anyone else has had anything similar?

Ive never played wow but i was getting 2+ a day in the junk recently about cataclysm which i believe is the last expansion?

They asked me to verify my account which made me chuckle :)

A lot. I signed up to a dodgy guild site and BOOM. Get them all the time. They do look very convincing but they all are using a spam email i sign up with.

20-30 a day. Been using same email since gmail started :D and i dont even play wow. But iv signed up for a lot of pc gamers websites.
