i renewed the game on sunday just gone, i made a priest, its now lvl 30 (i lvl VERY fast...) but i am now stuck, because i havnt played the game for SOOOO long, i kinda forgot all the decent locations... ive done all Q's in thousand needles, hillsbrad, not been to arathi highlands... and i went to STV for a bit, well, 3 mins until i got killed by a raptor as soon as i walked out.

so, does anyone know of any decent grind spots or quest areas where i can get 2 lvls down in less than 8 hours of play time?

im a shadow priest, wont be going holy until im 70... well, at least with a couple of weeks under my belt past 70 as a priest.

can you check if my talent spec will be good?
WoW EU webbie talent spec - before you ask, i wont be doing PVP on a frequent basis, this is a pure solo/dungeon spec

cheers guys

I'd say head into arathi Highlands and do a few of the quests there.
Should easily be able to get the 2 levels you need, also quite near to the Horde Camp are some easy raptors you can grind on if need be.
If you haven't been there then the above mod will be perfect for you.

Get http://www.Mobmap.de to go along with it also and you will be laughing with the quests laid out in front of you.

MobMap! - http://mobmap.de/

Mobmap is essentially an INGAME Thottbot/Allakhazam.

it holds information on pretty much eveyr single quest, NPC, world Drop, Item, Recipe. It can show you the drop percentages of items.

I tend to use it for questing and it's perfect to use if you are levelling an Alt.

How does it work?

So there I am collecting quests and there is a quest which involves killing a few mobs or looting a few items...all of which I haven't a clue where the hell they drop.

I press my button to bring up the Quest Window so I can have a read, but now there is a ? mark next to the name of the quest in the window. Not only that, there is a ? next to the name of the number of mobs that I have to kill.

I can then click the ? mark next to the number of quests and it then brings up a list of the Mob along with the exact locations on the Map of where this mob can be found. No more needing to goto Thottbot, typing in the name, scrolling through the comments for the Co-Ords because in a matter of a few clicks I have all the information I need.

Not only does it give Quest information it can show you where to find a Quest. Search the quest database, find NPCS where the quest begins. You can also look at Prequests or the end quest in a Chain to see at what stage you are.

Arathi till 32, then maybe hop over to Stranglethorn at 32 and head to Nesingways camp up north. If that;s a pain, then Desolace is awesome at 33+

If you go to Desolace you will die of boredom.

Go to Nesingwary Jnr's camp in the north of Stranglethorn Vale and do the mastery quests. Will take no time at all, the mobs are about level 30 and it opens up the next round of quests for once you've levelled a bit. You'll also get some quests from the small Alliance camp just as you enter from Duskwood.

When I (used to) level, this was how I went about it.

0-10 Starting area
10-20 Westfall, Loch Modan, Darkshore, Azuremyst Isle / Northern Barrens, Silverpine, Ghostlands
15-30 Redridge Mountains / Stonetalon Mountains, Southern Barrens
20-30 Wetlands, Ashenvale / Hillsbrad, Ashenvale
25-35 Duskwood / Thousand Needles
30-40 Desolace, Arathi Highlands, Northern Stranglethorn Vale
35-45 Dustwallow Marsh, Swamp of Sorrows, Alterac Mountains, Badlands
40-50 Southern Stranglethorn Vale, Feralas, Tanaris, Hinterlands
45-55 Searing Gorge, Azshara
50-60 Western Plaguelands, Un'Goro Crater, Felwood
55+ Eastern Plaguelands, Silithus, Burning Steppes, Blasted Lands, Winterspring

Then it would be on to Outlands, in this order.

Hellfire Peninsula
Zangarmarsh
Terrokar Forest
Nagrand
Blades Edge Mountains
Netherstorm
Silvermoon Valley

Honestly, I'd stop leveling until 2.3, they're making leveling a lot easier between 20-60. When the time comes, head to Outlands right away, the gear and EXP you get is so much better than in Azeroth.

Edit: Also max out Misery and take Focused Casting, you should basically be trying to spam Mind Flay as much as possible. You also need Silence, drop points from Meditation and/or Imp Mind Blast to get these.

How are they making the lvling easier next patch? I cancelled subscription awhile back but just curious how its going to work :)

Well they've been adding new quests to certain zones, Dustwallow Marsh has a Goblin town now, they're also reducing the amount of XP per level and increasing the amount of XP you gain from mobs and quests.

any ideas when the patch is out?
Been plying it on the test realm, and canna wait to see the new engineer flying machines in outlands :D they look cool.

Blizzard never commit to a time, except on the odd occasion when they'll confirm the night before maintenance day that it's coming.

Zul'Aman is the 'big' content thing that's coming and I've not read anything to suggest it still needs major tweaking. Other than that it's just bugs and changes to class abilities. Hopefully it'll be here in a month.

They're also improving all the dungeon loot in 2.3, and all the final boss drops in all low level dungeons will be blue loots (which is nice!)

Aye, there was nothing more annoying than beating the final boss and have him drop a green cloth robe with 5 strength and 4 spirit on it.

wow, thank you guys very much! that quest addon is brilliant, i.... sneakily (:P) downloaded joana's guide, which is so detailed, its almost impossible to jump in on it at this lvl, but it definetly looks awsome if you start a new char

im now lvl 32, and prob will be 34-35 tonight :D

thanks again guys, brilliant help. ty :D:D:D

They're also removing strength and agility from low level cloth items, which has really been needed for a long time.

I guess there will be about another month before 2.3 comes out. There are some big changes, and not everything is working properly yet.
