I regularly seem to come back to it.
Played it during beta, then when it launched until June 2005. Quit then as friends had quit and I was bored, and couldn't really afford the subscription.
Came back Spring 2006 to play alongside different friends on a pvp server, I just got bored and too busy with work.
Just came back 2 weeks ago on a different pvp server as a friend of mine talked me into it as he's GM of a high end raiding game, at level 24 at the moment and really enjoying it again.
Couldn't tell you when I get bored again however

that seems quite low, i sold my main priest account (full bwl/aq40 healing gear) and a blue pvp geared warrior for nearly twice that, maybe i got lucky and someone was desperate for a priest account

Prices must have been higher when you sold yours, I thought I got a good deal when comparing mine with the others on there!

I put WoW down. I played it a lot for about 2months then stopped - when you stop you realise just how pointless it is.

played it, got 2 lvl 60 characters.

managed to get one to PVP rank 10 (champion) tryed it on the second and just lost the will to live. this was probably a month ago or so.

i might try again when the expansion comes out.

Played for 14 months.

Clean for almost 2 months now.

Do I miss it. tbh yes I do. But then again I miss the odd fag when im drinking and havent smoked for 12 years. It's all very similar you do miss it, but then i go to the forums see all the kiddy attitude, and remember what it was like to play Arathi Basin with complete idiots, remember the insane MC & BWL instance grind. And think erm...yeah no thanks.

Well, I've been "clean" for over a year and a half now. Still tempted with going back, even more so that a new housemate plays. As far as I can remember I've got a level forty-something Paladin on the Dragonblight server.

Sold my account for £350 .... asked old guildies about the new owner, and they said he only ever logged on a couple or so times.
Bought my account back for £50, kitted it our some more.
Now IM hating the game again, just feels like such a chore and during the times we "buff up" after wipes, i tab out and play UT2004.
The problem is, those 3 months I quit, I was insanely curious about the new stuff in game (new t2 looks etc), not missed actually raiding etc.
Now the same will be for the expansion .... do I play it and see what its got to offer, or quit and sell him again.
If I sell him, what time do you guys think I should do it... just before or after the expansion? (obv im really well equipped)

yeah, if I wanted to beat up NPCs all day I'd play oblivion
if I wanted pointless PVP I'd play Guild wars or somthing.

The trick is not to take it too seriously and just play it for fun - requires willpower, though. But when you do that you realize what a time-sink the game is. To enjoy the majority of the content you have to spend, IMO, too much time playing it, and it's hard to justify the subscription if you play it casually.
