Howdy, my other half has started playing Wow... and I'm the last one out of our group of friends (I've lasted a fair few years without playing it!) that isn't on yet...

My question is this... I understand I'd need to buy my own copy of WoW to play, otherwise myself and my other half wouldn't be able to game at the same time.

But what about expansion packs? Would we need two copies of the expansions as well? (One per WoW disk?)

Cheers :)

Yeah you're gonna need your own expansion key for your account. (Two different accounts would need two epansion keys/disks)

What server you on? im giving up the game soon so if your on daggerspine can give you some help with bags/gold ect...

You don't actually need the expansion pack until you reach lvl 60, or unless you want to play as a Blood Elf or Draenai, could save yourself some cash and see if you actually enjoy it that long first.

But yes, the license only covers a user account so you'll need 2 to play at the same time.

Edit* If you can find the battle chest cheap get that, i already had the original but found the chest for £15, which gives you guides for both games as well.

Thanks for the advice guys, as for what Server I'm on, I honestly have no idea.

I've only played for around 10-20 minutes on my girlfriends account, levelled her up a couple of times and that was that. Most of my friends have been playing for years and are all horde (but no idea what server they play on).

The reason I want the expansion is to be a Blood Elf :o

That and I thought I may as well get the whole thing.

I've found the Battle Chest for £17.99, or the two games for £17.98 :)

So I gather with the few extras in the Battle Chest it's worth getting that, plus an extra copy of Burning Crusade then?

chimaera, your sig is awesome mate. Brought a smile to my face, many happy memories playing Monkey Island :D
