Hi i had to re-format my hard drive and have done a clean install of windows and wow looking at my file size of wow 23 gig and previous it was 32 gig i am concerned it hasn't downloaded cataclysm which i bought last week for download, just concerned i wont be ready for launch, i have logged on to my account several time but no download seems to be happening. thanks

How did you install WoW?

Its probably just patches that are the differences. WoW doesn't delete the old patch files, so the folder was probably full of old patch files just taking up room. If you can get into the game, you've got the most recent version. Patch 4.0.2 has a lot of the cataclysm stuff in it, with regards to all the new UI changes, mechanics changes and so on.

Cataclysm will need to be downloaded by everyone, this pre-patch doesn't have most of the content, which is going to be a very large download considering its about 90% of the game getting revamped!

if you copy the entire file to a pen drive or another drive you can install windows again and just run the .exe and it'll run even with the same settings.

Edit: most of that gig i prob old addons and screenshots etc you can allways run repair to check the files.
