WOW raf power leveling

Just out of curiosity how does this work? Im just watching a youtube vid that has someone going from 1 -60 in 3 mins.
 
he refers you, (new player) then when you play together from lvl 1 to 60 you get tripple exp on killing and quest rewards, really good to lvl fast i did it before only problem is gold and items u need the gold to equip urself out gearwise cause you level soo fast.

u can get to lvl 60 in about 2 weeks, also u can portal to each other, works same as the hearth stone

very much fun, making me wanna revive my lvl 80 rogue now but i will resist :P

For every two levels the recruitee gains he/she can grant a level to any toon on the recruiter's account.

If you level two toons each to 60 together you can essentially get another free 60 by granting 30 levels from each of the two toons to a new toon, if that makes sense :p (That's what they did in the video)

When I was levelling with my RAF buddy he used it to grant me levels so I could keep up with him, as he played a lot more than I did.

I got a hunter to level 60 in 1 day 8 hours using RAF, dual logged and stuck my mate on follow. He did sometimes help out but was mostly just afking. Druid took 1 day 14 hours levelling with a mage. Makes for some very entertaining leveling as you fly through it, I just get bored when i hit tbc it feels so tedious!
 
For powerleveling, especially from the start, you can just start on the same server as your powerleveling partner server. Having main characters (already leveled and geared up) on the same server is quite unlikely as there is so bloody many of em =( there are so many servers. I started on Terenas, one of the original launch servers, and everyone I've met has been on the newer ones
 
just a question

if i RAF on my 77 hunter account would i have the 30 grantable levels straight away or would i needto level a char from lvl 1-60 to get them ?

thinking if me and my freind RAF a new account for me i'd have a level 60

The grantable levels only accumulate while leveling with the partner, so no you couldn't do that.
